Elegant Bridal Editorial | Orlando Wedding Photographer

When life as we knew it, changed back in March, I (like most of the world) was blissfully unaware of how long we would be at home and without work.

Month after month went and the postponements and cancellations happened. With the extra time, I realized that I was given the gift of time to shoot for myself and create passion projects. This was just the year to experiment with my craft. This session was birthed out of this desire to see how I could creatively document stories in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.

This simple but elegant editorial took place in my garage… yep, you read that right! We set my backdrop right in my garage. We curated feminine, romantic & dreamy details that would be an inspiration for the average bride. We put together a team of amazing vendors who helped pull the elements of this shoot together so wonderfully.

I always love a look behind the scenes, so let me invite you into a peek at just that:

  • 48 hours before our shoot, we found out our model wasn’t able to participate anymore. This news sent us scrambling to find a new model; one that would fit in the dresses we had received in our original model’s size.
  • The day the shoot took place was a day of record temperatures. We were shooting outside in the heat for hours and not only did we get awful sunburns (hello farmers tans), but Ashley got heat exhaustion which made her really sick.
  • Speaking of heat exhaustion, apparently film cameras get heat exhausted from being used too long in the heat. A couple of hours into the editorial, my camera COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. She had to cool off inside. We even stuck her in the fridge for a bit to try and expedite the process (for those curious, this didn’t work). She eventually recovered, thankfully, and we were able to continue.

Truly an honor to work with such talented individuals who know their craft so well… Film Processing: The Find Lab | Florals: Iron & Clay | Makeup: Eunice Jin | Model: Victoria Cavil | Ring Box: Mrs. Ring Box | Shoes: Bella Belle Shoes | Stationery Suite: Lynette Rose Co.
